This sampler showcases various authentic tatreez patterns from some original head shawls (ghudfeh) from the Hebron area. The most distinctive patterns are the Pasha’s tent khaimet albasha, feathered moons qamar bi rish or discs with feathers and cypress trees.
The Hebron shawl - Ghudfet al-Khalil was part of the traditional Palestinian attire which was worn on the head in the villages around Hebron. It was usually made of white linen.
